We are trying to send an IDoc file from webmethods to the receiver using AS2 http protocol and the settings are
1. self signed certificate
2. 2048 public private key
3. 3 DES encryption
4. MDN sync
5. SHA1 receipt signature
6. SMIME message format.
When we try to send more than one file, few of them gets delivered and few result in error. On resubmitting the error ones without any changes, few gets delivered successfully and few result in error. The resubmission process is continued till all the messages gets successfully delivered.
The error that we are getting is something like this
Task XXXXX failed with no more retries available. Reason for failure - Delivery service for XXXX failed with a status of fail and status message of 400 Bad Request.

are you sending the data to a mendelson AS2 server? Because the message "Task XXXXX failed with no more retries available. Reason for failure - Delivery service for XXXX failed with a status of fail and status message of 400 Bad Request." is not an error message of a mendelson AS2 system?
Perhaps it's a problem with your local system?
