Automatic retry on "time out" error--is it possible?

The AS2 message mendelson_opensource_AS2-1324574462328-497@ACSAS2_ACMEAS2 from ACSVAN to Acme has not been completed with a state OK.

Is there any way to set an automatic retry when an error such as this one occurs?
